Bully Boy

Rethuglican Representative Michael Grimm - bully

Have you seen the video of New York Republican representative Michael Grimm threatening a reporter with violence?  Yep.  Rep. Grimm, one of those pretty boy politicians that the likes of Karl Rove have pushed out there in public to hide the true, ugly face of today's Republican party.  Just remember folks, the Michael Grimms of this world may have a pleasant face but behind that face is the monster that is today's Republican Party.  Thugs, liars, cheats, and hypocrites.  I won't waste the space here recounting the many vile Republican politicians that are poisoning our political system today.

So folks when you have a politician respond to a question that he doesn't like from a reporter like this:

"Let me clear to you, you ever do that to me again I'll throw you off this f------g balcony!"

Then Grimm responding to the reporter's statement "why, why it's a valid question" Grimm said "No, no, you're not man enough, you're not man enough. I'll break you in half. Like a boy."

Oh my Rep. Grimm, sooooooo butch.  Real rough and tough.  Hey Grimm, how about taking on someone your own size?

This is the problem with bullies like Grimm, they never take on someone their own size.

Grimm hasn't apologized yet, he's doubling down. But he will apologize but with the usual "Mistakes were made."

You know, the Republicans keep talking about "rebranding."  How's that going Rethugs?

  1. While he doesn't get a pass for this kind of behavior, i will add that Michael Grimm has become the sixth House Republican to co-sponsor the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
He gets points from me for that.

    1. Bob,
Sorry, I can't give Rep. Grimm a pass on this one, he actually threatened to kill the reporter. Nothing justifies such reprehensible behavior. Rep. Grimm doesn't belong in Congress, he belongs in jail. He's a thug, pretty smile not withstanding.

    2. I wasn't giving him a pass for his behavior, nor what he said, I was simply acknowledging that he is one of very few GOPers to support ENDA.

  3. "Grimm" ....... Hmmmm !!! What's in a name?

As for Bob, How many "points" should be taken away by his behavior? I would say ALL OF THEM that he gained with his so-called support of ENDA.
There's a saying in the military: One "AW SHIT" will wipe out 10 "ATTABOYS". I would say Grimm's verbal threats of physical violence counts as a fecal mistake.

    1. Foggy,
What was with the "You're not man enough" comments to the reporter? I think Grimm made the determination that the reporter may have been gay and was highly insulted that a "gay" reporter DARED to ask him a question he didn't want asked. The bottom line is that a member of Congress should not be threatening to murder reporters who ask questions that they don't like.

  4. Apparently he "apologized". I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure it's smarmy and blaming the reporter for attempting to REPORT! Asshole.

The only good thing is that he helps to drive everyone with a brain away from the Republican Party. For that I am thankful!

    1. Jay,
We're in agreement again. However, I don't think he'll drive the Faux News types away from the Republican Party. They like this kind of thuggish behavior. They think it's alright.

    3. Jay,
Political thugs like Grimm are heroes to the Low Information Voter who rely on Faux News to think for them. Grimm will raise a lot of money on his "brave" act of bullying the "boy" (as he called him "You're not man enough" ) reporter.

  5. If I walked up to my local congressman and threatened to kill him, my ass would be in jail immediately for a felony! Grimm needs to be tried as a felon threatening murder.

Exactly! I wonder why someone like Grimm gets a pass after he threatens to kill a news reporter. Who does he think he is, Frank Sinatra?

  6. Ron, Grimm hmmm... Well the name sure fits him. DJ is right if anone else threated a congressman, to the hoosgau you go! I also like your comment about faux news. They're on our cable system here in town and others. I call them the tit n tears network. Because their always crying about something or pushing stories all about sexy women, mostly in Hollywood. One of the reasons I dumped the cable. Again always a pleasure reading your posts Randy.

    1. Randy,
I continued to be amazed at the absolute stupidity of some politicians and others in the public (police) spotlight in this day of everyone having an smart phone that can take videos. They post photos of themselves on the Internet half naked looking for hookups, both Democrats (Anthony Weiner) and that other New York Congressman whose name escapes me now. I wouldn't even to that and I'm just one of the Great Unwashed.

Bridgegate was all about bullying your foe. For the traffic that came to a crawl, 4 day trauma, heads will fall.

Bridgegate is just the tip of the iceberg of the abuse of power that is now revealed in New Jersey. Christy is finished as a national politician. He'll be lucky if he can avoid jail.

    1. Dr. Spo,
I have to admit I am surprised that this happened in the Christy administration. I had assumed Chris Christy was smarter than to pull such a childish action as deliberately causing a traffic jam but indeed he did. He's finished as a national politician. Good riddance.

    1. Anonymous,
When I first heard of the bridge closures (on the Rachel Maddow Show), I knew then that Christy was behind it and I also knew he was done as a presidential candidate. There is no way, even as many Low Information Voters are voting, that the majority of the American voters would elect a politician who deliberately caused a traffic jam. We've all been in traffic jams. This is the absolute stupidity of Christy and those around him. The arrogance of power.
