  1. Ron,

Don't forget your old friends! Hey, fourth snow of December this morning. Not much, but enough to recover the surfaces. Slipped several times on my walk because the new powder hit the old slick spot. May be another little storm through this evening. Maybe we will have the 12 snows of Christmas!

    1. Lar,

You're first on my list! When I win I'm going to dispense $1,000,000 quarterly to certain chosen deserving individuals just like my family namesake John Beresford Tipton used to do weekly on the Fifties TV show "The Millionaire." You better believe it!

    1. Bob,

Drat! I thought I had it. Guess not. Oh well. At least someone I know (and like) wins…..you!

  5. Money has an uncanny way of breaking down petty barriers. If you win the lottery, all those homophobic people who hate the fact that you're gay will suddenly forget their self-righteousness and become your friends! They will be crawling out of the woodwork.

  6. I hope for you, you get on "Good morning America"! I can't even imagine what someone would do with all that money, even if divided by 6
with all the taxes taken out. Lotteries are big business for states.
I did play $ 1, just to get into the frenzy. My numbers are very small, the highest being 49. It is just nice to dream.

    1. Nadege,

You are so right, it is nice to dream. $5.00 is a bargain to dream. If I don't win, I hope you do!

Ron must be on some good meds or something. Win Mega Millions ? The odds are 100million to 1 ?
No, Larry has it right. Ron slipped on some new snow going to the mailbox this morning hit his head
and saw visions of Mega Millions in his head! LOL! Ron, if it were one person in this world who should
win the Mega Jackpot it should be you! The one of few who would put it to real good use and enrich many
lives with the riches of a better life. Best of Luck! Merry Christmas too!
Just poking some fun. Love this blog.

    1. Stuart,
You know me so well! You better believe I have my list of folks whose lives I would try to improve. Remember the old TV show "The Millionaire"? The "Millionaire" was a man named "John Beresford Tipton". He would distribute a million dollars each week to someone anonymously. When our family used to watch that show in the Fifties, we also dreamed that we too would be the recipient of a million dollars (tax free) from our namesake. Alas, it never happened but we have had good lives anyway. Still, it has always been my dream to replicate that make believe "Tipton" who distributed $1.000,000 anonymously to a deserving person. Maybe it will happen. If not, it's still fun to dream. When you stop dreaming, you stop living. I always dreamed my whole live that someday I would meet the man of my dreams. That has happened to me. Maybe this will happen too. You just never know.

Have a wonderful Christmas Stuart. And thank you always for your kindness and compliments about my blog. I love blogging because I make friends like you.

  8. Ron, I hate to break it to you ol' buddy, but I have the winning Mega-Millons ticket! I'm off the temp overtime so I need an extra 40-50 millon for Christmas gifts. Wow! the first thing I would if I won would give my house here away to my neighbor. Then move out of Nebraska and buy a 8 or 10 bedroom 4 bath cottage in Key West,FL. From what I hear, Key West is about 20% gay pop. I should be able to find a boyfriend down there. And for Bloggerpalooza next year everybody that wants to come, will be flown down first class air fare and stay with me. Any overflow can stay at the Island House. I googled it,it looks like fun. Almost as much fun as P-town Ron? Any way like you said it's fun to dream. I'm sure you and Bill will have a wonderful Chrstmas even if you don't win. Randy in NEB.

    1. Randy,
Well, I guess you heard by now. I didn't win. Dang! I like your suggestion of what you would do if you won. I would do the same thing, transport everyone who wants to come to some fabulous destination for the annual Bloggerpalooza.
It's only three months now to the 2014 Bloggerpalooza in 2014. See how fast that time went by? And who knows? You'll be in the Rehoboth Beach/Lewes/Milton area of Delaware; home of one of the largest gay populations on the East Coast. Maybe you'll find a boyfriend here. I'll make sure to show you where to go while you're here. You''ll be the New Guy In Town and with your looks and personality (and money?), you're sure to hook up with the man of your dreams.

      Have a wonderful Christmas Randy!

If you ever get to play John Meredith Tipton Jr would you let me play Michael Anthony? Boy we don't have anything that competes with the kind of money that's handed out down there - but at least it's tax free (for the moment). Apparently a woman who had no idea she had won $50 million and had lost the ticket was tracked down by the lottery and gaming commission before the 1 year expiry date was met. They located the store and watched the video. Wow - what a surprise that must have been.
