I knew it! It was only a matter of time before Mr. Family Values filed for divorce.
Rick Santorum, former senator from Pennsylvania and a staunch and unwavering advocate of "one man-one woman" marriage has filed for divorce blaming "the gays" for the crumbling of his 23 year old marriage.
Next thing you know the Internet will be swirling with rumors that Rick and Lindsay will be setting up house.
I wonder how these Internet rumors get started.

I believed it when I first heard it. After all, those absolutely perfect family values marriages are usually the first ones to crumble. Glad it's not true.
When I first became computerized (looooong ago) I used to believe everything I read on the Internet. I was shamefully gullible.

I was going along with it at first. The "gays ruined my marriage" line is ridiculous but not as far out there as some of the stuff that he has actually said. When The DOMA decision put them in separate beds I started to smell a rat.

I was buying into this story too (I am so gullible) until I read the line about separate bedrooms because of the DOMA decision. What is sad and funny at the same time is that so many like Santorum truly believe that "the gays" getting married will ruin their marriages. Make their marriages less valid because we, "they gays" are "less than" thus we devalue anything we're connected with and given legitimacy. One day in the future people will look back on these times and say "how could so many be so ignorant?"
