Mitt Romney - Outsourcer in Chief

Okay folks, I can't resist any longer.  Mitt ("The Liar") Romney now claims he retired "retroactively" from Bain Capital.  Give me a break.

By the way, why won't Romney release more tax returns?  I think I know why, because there are a few years where he probably paid NOTHING.  Yep folks, Mr. "America the Beautiful" won't release his tax returns because he IS HIDING SOMETHING.

No excuses for this blatantly political posting folks.  Had to be done.  Now listen to the best political ad yet this year.

  1. Yes, it is one of the best adds that I've seen. However, I think it's falling on deaf ears. Romney is very smart not to release his tax returns. Nobody can talk about his millions or tax havens. Meanwhile we have a global economy that's in trouble, high gas prices and higher food prices coming. This is what President Obama is expected to fix - things beyond his control. The thinking now is, well, we are going to vote for Romney to fix things. It seems not to matter that he offers no solutions, just empty words. It's disgraceful that Pres. Obama and Romney are so close in the polls. If Romney wins, the dumbing down of America is complete and people get what they deserve.

    1. Paul,

You are so right. If Romney is elected, that will prove that the dumbing down of American is complete and Karl Rove is a genius.

    1. Jeff,

I just read a column by Abby Huntsman (Jon Huntsman's daughter). She says if Romney releases his tax returns he would have to withdraw from the presidential race. I too believe that he has something to hide so he is willing to take the fire rather than release tax returns showing that he paid no tax and has his wealth hidden in offshort and Swiss bank accounts. Some American patriot huh?

Ron, Ron, Ron, you are a writing machine. I also think Romney should release his tax returns. He has already said he is wealthy, there is nothing wrong with being wealthy, etc. So why the secrecy?
Your talk about Horace is at a bad time for me. Our dog is an older 14, and her kidneys are starting to fail so she (always house broken) has to urinate constantly and is going in the house. We have a system of overlapping floor runners where she usually goes covered with cheap rag rugs that I pick up and wash a couple times a day. She also has arthritis and it is getting harder for her to get around. But, I can't bring myself to put her to sleep. I want her to be like Horace, unable to get up at all, so there is no doubt. That's what happened to our last dog. My kids were 2 and 5 when we got this dog. They don't remember not having her. Ugh.
But, after she is gone, at some point we will get another dog. We will get another rescue dog from a shelter like we do all of our pets. We have a 2 year old cat from a SPCA in Philadelphia. She is the most amazing fly killer and has caught 6 mice in our house. But, I am really a dog person. Lynne

    1. Lynne,
Yes, I am a writing machine. I've always liked to write. If I don't write, I feel like I'm not complete.

About Romney, I agree with you that his wealth isn't an issue. Everyone has the right to work hard and get rich. However, where I have a problem with Romney (and I have many) is that he is so secretive. As you said "Why the secrecy?" What is he hiding? I suspect that there were years that he didn't pay any taxes and he has a lot of his money in offshore and Swiss bank accounts to avoid paying taxes in this country which enabled him to become rich. Also, one thing that really bothers me is that neither he nor any one of his five sons saw fit to contribute any of their time in service of this country by joining the military. That really bothers me.
Another thing that I cannot abide is Romney's habitual lying. I truly believes he doesn't think he's lying and if he does, he justifies it by any means to an end.
It is obvious that Romney only wants to be president to put the final feather in his cap and take care of his rich friends. He just doesn't understand the rest of us and how we have to struggle to make ends meet. He just doesn't' know.
About your dog, it is sad, so sad when they get old and can't control their bodily functions. I used to feel so bad for Horace. I still remember the hurt look in his face every morning I came downstairs and saw his pee all over the floor from the night before. Poor thing, he couldn't hold it. I never scolded him for peeing on the floor but I could tell he still felt bad for letting me down. He didn't. I adjusted my life to accommodate him until he could no longer get up. That is the time to say goodbye.

My thoughts are with you Lynne. This is a rough time.
