Gabrielle Giffords Pledge of Allegiance at DNC
Of all the great speeches at the Democratic National Convention this past week in Charlotte, North Carolina, none matched this emotional high point of when former Arizona Gabrielle Giffords recited the pledge of allegiance.
Triumph over adversity personified.

I missed this, so thanks for sharing. SO MUCH MORE inspirational than clint eastwood and his stupid chair!
Anne Marie,
This was something that you never saw at the Republican National Convention, real emotion and inspiration and make you feel good about being an American.

Cindy,
Excellent! I hadn't seen that Jimmy Fallon performance. I especially like the request for Joe Biden to keep his pie hole shut. Thanks for sending it!

You are more than welcome! I am loving I can speak my mind here, like I can't at home. Well unless you count my Mom who is 84, guess who she likes for this term? The first letter of the name is not "R". I don't talk political here at home, so I love voicing it through you. Mom says she likes everything I show her on you website. We are liberal CA folks. I am going to be in the Outer banks next month, how far are you from there? My friend and I can't leave for long with her dogs. Also we don't deal well sitting long in a car. I would love to meet you. My email is clatoure@aol.com Don't like putting that out there, but how else to you take the chance to meet someone?

Cindy,
I live six miles from Rehoboth Beach, DE. The distance is 254 miles which would take you 5 hours or more. Maybe sometime if you're vacationing in the Rehoboth Beach area we can meet.
I'm glad that your mom is a fan of my blog. However, this is another reminder that I have to be careful about inappropriate content (read "sex") in my blog!
Have a great day!
Ron
