Bloggerpalooza One Week Away!

The blogger gang last year at Stripper Bites, Lewes, DE

This time next week folks…..P.A.R.T.Y!

Yes, it's that time again folks.  Time for the annual gathering of bloggers on the East Coast.  Just to remind everyone again of the loosey goosey schedule of events (nothing is set in stone here folks).

Sassy Bear and hubby check in with Anne Marie ($25.00 per person)

The only sure thing that is set is Saturday evening, March 15th and there will an abundance of good cheer.

David J. and Dr. Spo - BIG HUG!

5 pm to 6 pm- Meet and greet in the breakfast room at the Inn at Canal Square, Lewes, DE.  There will be an open bar (mostly wine).  Feel free to bring your own libations.  Ice and glasses will be available plus good cheer.

Dr. Spo regals The Cajun, Superman, Someone, Mark (partially hidden) and Fred

6 pm to 7 pm - dinner buffet by Gary Papp, The Essential Chef in the Parkview Room (next to the breakfast room).

Yum! Roast pork.

After the buffet repast, it's time for introductions an "prizes".  Surprise prizes.

Dr. Spo receives his "fully equipped" Billy doll
After the prize presentations Marshall Manlove, Comedy hypnotist will do a show.  All are invited to participate.  Even those who decide not to participate might be participating anyway.  One never knows.

I finally meet Superman!

As to the rest of the schedule for the weekend, most folks will be arriving Thursday night.  The Hospitality Suite will be open Friday night and all day Saturday and evening.  All are invited.

Hospitality Suite gathering

Saturday morning I have schedule and Old Time photo grouping at 10 am in Rehoboth Beach.  All are invited to participate.

Dr. Spo gets his pants put on in preparation for the old time photo shoot

Just remember, leave your inhibitions and home and what happens in Lewes stays in Lewes.

    1. Nadege,
We had a fabulous group last year and with the notable exceptions of Sassy Bear, Jeffrey, David J., and Someone, we will have another good-looking bunch this year. And I will make sure to ask Fred (eric) how to pronounce your name.

  2. Good people having fun. Was recently sent photos of my 45th high school reunion, which I missed, and couldn't recognize anybody in them. But the physiques are familiar, nearly identical to those at your Bloggerpalooza. I think it's from men of a certain age exercising the same muscle groups --maybe from kicking themselves-- but your gathering looks like a lot more fun!

  3. I am SOOOO ready to be there! And I am bringing my camera, too, so Mark can also enjoy himself! Or we can BOTH annoy the heck out of people with lenses in their face! Or I might shoot video!

Randy H. from Nebraska is flying into Richmond Wednesday afternoon, so we'll be painting Richmond red before we leave Thursday morning for Lewes. Arrival: Afternoon.

FRIDAY THERE WILL BE A TRIP TO THE DOGFISH HEAD BREWERY FOR A TOUR. Planning to leave mid-morning. They no longer take reservations, so we'll show up and take the place over!

I ASSUME that on Saturday morning there will be trip to Rehoboth Beach for an Old Timey Photo! I intend to out-do last years' "pose"!!! Then lunch somewhere! Dos Locos? Or are we kidnapping the cajun and dragging him elsewhere for lunch???

I've heard that Slugmama and hubby will be there, and need transportation since they won't be staying at The Inn at the Canal. I'll help, can others? I can't promise to be sober 100% of the time! (Probably, truth be known, a WHOLE lot less than that!)

I CAN'T WAIT! Wait, did I already say that? I am bringing my blue thingie from last year. For a full year, he (it, she?) has been eying me from the corner where my computer meets my monitor. It's reassuring to see a friend every time I sit down.

Don't forget, there's a liquor store right across from The Inn. So bring it or you can buy it. Who is in charge of cosmos since Sassy Bear can't make it? I'm bringing bourbon!

Oh, and The Inn has Wi-Fi (I think). If not, I got it covered. There will be blogging!

    Peace <3

    2. Denise,
We'll definitely have something going on Friday night, not to worry. We'll probably go as a group to Saketumi. I'll be at the hotel to check to see who came in. Plus, we'll have the Hospitality Suite open at 3 PM with drink and eats. We play it a little loosey goosey but things always seem to fall into place.

    3. Jay,
Lots of coordination going on next week but I am confident everything will fall into place. I'm also brining my "good" camera and plan to take a lot of pictures. I'm jus too shaky with my iPhone camera. And yes, Old Time photo will be Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Afterwards we'll go to lunch at Dos Locos or some other place in Rehoboth. Unfortunately, Wayne won't be on duty at Dos Locos. We might go to the Purple Parrot. That's a fun place to be and practically right across the street from Old Time Photo. This time next week!

    6. Count Randy H. from Nebraska and me in on those plans! I'll be there (at the Inn) mid- to late afternoon Thursday (depends on how much time we spend on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel, and in Berlin, MD at the BURLEY OAK BREWERY.

      Peace <3

    8. Gee Jay, I wonder where you got the idea to go to Burley Oak? hehehe
They give nice LARGE samples btw and glasses are just $4(or where last Fall when I was there). Don't recall what the growler fills were but it was $18 if you bought the growler too.
Wish I was going there to fill my BO Growler with Root Beer....if you don't want alcohol the root beer is awesome!

  5. Such delights in store, Ron. I'm looking forward to seeing 'evidence' of it almost as much as you'll be in living it. Wishing very good luck and delights to all who are there - as well as raising a glass to the few notable, regrettable absences.

    1. Ray,
Sorry you didn't win the lottery and thus able to join our merry group. However, it will be well documented with photos and videos. We will raise our glasses in toast to you and all our other blogger friends who couldn't make it to this year's Bloggerpalooza.

  6. One of these years (when all the "stars" are in alignment) I would like to join you guys and gals in the festivities. It's a long road trip (from Oregon), and I'd have to mooch from a Southern Gentleman friend to keep expenses down, and morale UP. The "stars" are the Van and the Great Pumpkin, with a Magic Carpet stuffed inside the Pumpkin.

    1. Foggy,
Oregon is a long trip. Hopefully one year you can make it. I can guarantee you would have a good time plus you would get to brag that you visited the first town in the first state which is……..Lewes, Delaware!
