This commentator expresses my views exactly on the Trump's administration travel ban on seven predominately Muslim counties.
Last night spontaneous demonstrations broke out at major airports as travelers from those predominately Muslim countries were detained and "extremely vetted". Among those detained were travelers with green cards and visas who have already been vetted. One man detained is an interpreter who risked his life to help U.S. soldiers in Mosul.
Each day, there is a new outrage from this obviously incompetent Trump administration. The latest is the installation of Trump's alt right buddy Steve Bannon a permanent seat while demoting the joint chiefs of staff on the national security council. This action makes our country safer? Trump surrounding himself with sycophants who tell him what he wants to hear? What's next? Putting Barron on the National Security Council?
These actions do not bode well for our country folks. And where are the Republican leaders? Why aren't they speaking on this outrage? Either they are afraid of Trump or they are so desperate to get Trump to sign those bills so dear to their hearts that they don't want to piss Trump off.
These actions of Trump and his incompetent cohorts do not make our country safer. To the contrary, we are less safe now.
