Meet Dr. Spo Buffet Dinner Menu

(Double click to enlarge)

Hey Spo fans!  Here is the menu for the buffet dinner for Dr. Spo which will be held at the Inn at Canal Square in Lewes, Delaware, Saturday, March 23rd from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The Nage Restaurant of Rehoboth Beach (and Washington D.C.) will be supplying the buffet.  The Nage has catered many events at the Inn (where I work part-time as a front desk clerk) and I can attest they are the best!  Usually I get the leftovers, this time I'll be up front (nice change folks!)  Go here for more information on The Nage Restaurant.

Based on attendance so far, the cost per person is $25.00.  That includes an open bar of white or red wine (or water or soda for those who prefer non-alcoholic liquid refreshments).

Our "Meet Dr. Spo" event is coming along nicely folks.  Already we have four reservations at the hotel for out of state bloggers.  Several local bloggers may also attend (only Cubby has confirmed so far) for a "day trip."

This is going to be a great get together of blogger friends folks.  Perhaps a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to meet in person that person you've been leaving comments on their blog and those who leave comments on your blog.  Hey!  How often do we get a chance to put a face to the comments?

March 23rd, 2013 may seem like a long time away but believe me folks, it will be here before you know it.  Please let me know if you plan to attend our buffet on March 23rd so we have enough food to feed everyone!

Anne Marie,

Nage is very good. They have catered many events at our hotel. A few lucky times I got some of the leftovers (before my other co-workers got to them). DEE-LICIOUS! And it is reasonable. Everything is good; the potato salad, broccoli rabe, grilled veggies, and the PORK! Very tender. Of course someone will complain but I'm ready for that. Goes with the territory. That's the downside of arranging something this as I found out from several class reunions and family reunions but Nage is the best I've seen so far.

Anne Marie,

As I said, goes with the territory. I'm used to it by now. I try to focus on the positive. I'm really looking forward to getting together with all my blogger friends in person.

Okay, I'll admit it - - I've heard of Dr. Phil and Dr. Spock and Dr. Demento & Dr. Frankenstein, but I've never heard of Dr. Spo.
But the menu looks so darn good that it would be a strong incentive to show up!

Jon,

You haven't heard of Dr. Spo? OMG! I thought EVERYONE had. Seriously though, I assumed you did. Dr. Spo write a blog. He's very good and a nice guy. Unlike me, he doesn't offend occasionally with his political views either. :) You would like him. Do you want me to send you a link to his blog? Actually you can click on the link I have on my blog. His blog is called "Spo Reflections." He's sort of like a "Mr. Rogers" of the blogger world. Everyone likes him.

Jon,

BTW, Nage is VERY good. I've had everything on this menu, albeit as leftovers. It's going to be nice to have them fresh!

Mmm, looks delish!

Nage is excellent Cubby. I've had all of these, as leftovers. I imagine they would be even better fresh. So far ten have signed up for the dinner. I think that is just about right. A nice intimate dinner with friends....blogger friends.

do we have to sign up somewhere for the dinner? or have you already counted todd and I as part of the 10?

Anne Marie,

You don't have to sign up. I've already counted you and Todd. I haven't heard from The Cajun. I will assume he's not coming. I also haven't heard from Mark and Joe so I am assuming they're not coming. The menu I have posted is only for ten. We already have ten.

Great news! I was just talking to Dr. Spo this monrning on FaceTime. It wouldn't be the same without you and Joe there Mark. Life of the party that both of you are. :) Maybe you'll sing for us?

Ron, you chose our menu from leftovers (or scraps) from hotel guests? LOL!!! Did either you or Nage act in the movie "Ratatouille"???

Just kidding, but it was a very funny movie!

Better than Spo - there will be good booze ; no rubbish.

David,

Oh no! I didn't choose our menu from "leftovers." What I meant to say was that Nage has had this menu before for different events (they have many different menus) and this was the one I liked the best because we got the leftovers. We don't through away any Nage's good stuff, my goodness or as Dr. Spo would say "No rubbish."

No, I haven't seen "Ratatouille" but I have been told I would like it especially by the owner of our hotel. He rarely recommends anything but he did tell me that I would like "Ratatoiille." Now I wonder if he was trying to tell me something. ;)

Ah yes Dr. Spo, we will have an abundance of liquid refreshment to loosen our inhibitions and stimulate conversation among friends. Absolutely "no rubbish!"

Kelly,

Let me know as soon as possible if you want a room at the hotel. I can get you a 20% discount. And thank for the warning about Anne Marie, Bill's already ran "into" those nips!

Have a great day!
