Pat just left this morning for his six hour trip to Montreal. This time he has an original copy of Bill's death certificate.
His appointment at the American Consulate is tomorrow morning. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and he can get his K-1 VISA.
I started this process last July. It's a long slog to marry a foreigner. You can't believe the paperwork both of us have had to submit. Also fees, on both sides. Lots of hurdles and hoops to jump through.
If all goes well today and he gets his approval to marry me, we'll have ninety days to get married. Right now I'm planning out marriage on my birthday, November 9th at the Georgetown DE Sussex County Courthouse.

I definitely will. Funny thing, Pat never reads my blog. Not that he is avoiding my blog, he's just not interested which is fine by me. I think some of my friends, family and others may read my blog to monitor it for what I would say about them. In the past I have but I don't now out of respect for their privacy. But my closest friends Glenn and Pat, not interested. And again, that's fine with me. I mainly write my blog for my own therapy.

It has been proven more times than not that they just don't make things like they used to. I have an older fridge that was practically new when I bought my condo. It is at least 12 years old and is still humming along. For a short period of time, a few years back, it was making loud noises when the fridge powered up to cool things down. I was getting ready to replace it when it corrected itself. Weird thing about my fridge. My floors are cement. And the layout of my galley kitchen, where the refrigerator is on the opposite wall of the sink. Much to my surprise, when I bought the place, the outside door water and ice dispenser did not work. It is not connected. How could it? The line would have to run across the kitchen to hook up to the sink. I don't know why they bought one with those features when they were not going to use them. Maybe they got a good deal. No worries. Also, who thought that new washers would work well in cleaning clothes without an agitator? Yes, I have seen one. Many things of old we build to last. Now we are living in a disposable society. Don't get me started on disposable fashion. Our environment!!
Hope everything else is going well for you. Summer is over, and winter will soon be upon us. Fall and Spring are my favorite times of the year.

Hey Victor! Haven't heard from you in a while. I thought you were one of my blog followers who got bored with my blog. I'm still here, slogging along. Glad to see that. you're still around. Yes, I believe the quality of products has dropped in the past years. That's why I prefer to keep my old refrigerator. It just seems more substantial that the new one I ordered. Especially the shape of the refrigerator, mine has rounded corners. I noticed the new ones take the cheap manufacturing way out and has sharper corners. Notice that iPhones have rounded corners. Steve Jobs insisted on that feature to make it easier for customers to pocket his iPhones. He was warned "it will cost more to manufacture" the rounded corners. None the less, he insisted. Looks like the newer refrigerators are taking the cheap way out. Hopefully I can keep my current refrigerator for the rest of my life.
