Last week while Pat and I were visiting our longtime friend Don McK. in Philadelphia, I took this short video of Pat and Don on the roof of the building where he lives at 21st and Chestnut Streets in Center City Philadelphia.
Checkout that skyline. I think Philly has the best skyline of any city in the United States.
I thought our visit to Don would be my last visit. He's eighty nine years old and I was under the assumption that my prostate cancer had spread and I would be long for this world. Now with the positive results of my PET-SCAN this week, I'm making plans to visit Don again. Pat will be down this fall and that's when we'll be up on Don's roof again with that fabulous view of Philadelphia's skyline.

That's a great rooftop area. You are Correct, such a striking skyline and to be so close.

Philadelphia has developed into a fabulous skyline ever since the city nullified that ridiculous requirement that no building could be higher than the statue of William Penn on top of city hall. I was working in the city when those buildings (Liberty Place) were built by William Rouse. It was quite a controversial back then. Now the tall high rises are de rigor.

Thank you for your good wishes. I do feel like I have a new lease on life or what I have left of life. The past six months have been rather gloomy.
I have to admit I've never read our blog. I've looked for it several times but haven't found it. I'll go looking again now. For the twenty years I've been blogging I basically only read two other blogs. The one from Jon and the other from Spo.
