Well, it took longer than expected but President Biden officially exited the presidential race today.
Glory be, Biden finally saw the writing on the wall.
I never had a doubt that he would exit. It wasn't a matter of "if" but "when" but old Uncle Joe held on. At the end even me, a die hard Dem, got to the point where I didn't like Uncle Joe anymore.
I heard reports that he was "angry" and felt "mistreated." Hey Joe, it isn't about you. It's about defeating the convicted felon who is running for president on the Republican ticket.
Thank goodness Biden finally realized what was obvious to say many of us out here in the Great Unwashed. BIDEN IS TOO OLD!
This country needed someone who could make the case against the Republicans. Joe Biden could not do that. Hell, he can't even complete a sentence let alone articulate a reason to vote for him instead of the convicted felon and rapist who is the Republican nominee.
And yes, Kamala Harris will now be the Democratic nominee for president. And yes, she can do the job.
I welcome the new enthusiasm that will be on the Dems side in this presidential race.
Now I await the first presidential debate with Kamala and the convicted felon. A former prosecutor and a convicted felon. Of course Trump willl never consent to such a debate because he's such a coward but it is interesting to imagine that debate.
Goodbye Joe, thank you for your fifty-three years of public service to our country but now it is time to move on with fresh faces.
We're going to win folks! Trump and the Republicans are finished.

It’s going to be an ugly campaign but I pray a victory for Democrats. The magas won’t tolerate the prospect of a second black president. That’s what lit the powder keg in the first place. The first volley was a nasty town-hall in slower Delaware to unseat Republican Representative and former-Governor Mike Castle over his response to defending Obama’s birth certificate.

Oh for sure the MAGA Cult won't tolerate the prospect of a second black president. That's why they are MAGA in the first place. They were so pissed of that this country had a black president. I remember that town hall that Mike Castle had where he lost his bid for senator. He just assumed he would coast into that nomination. We (Delaware voters) now have a great candidate for that Senate seat, Lisa Blunt-Rochester. A black woman, who coincidentally I had the good fortune to meet personally a few years ago when she visited the hotel in Lewes where I worked at that time. She was very gracious. I knew she was going places just as I knew Kamala Harris was going places. Kamala will win, of that I have no doubt. Joe "No Joke" Biden finally made the right decision. Took a while though didn[t it?

Of for sure Trump is way too old. I'm glad the Dems finally got through to Joe Biden. What a stubborn old man he turned out to be. I have to admit I am surprised. Who knew he would be like that?

I grew up in his neighborhood, so no surprise. It's a tough crowd. Some I know still live there.
It’s a wonder how Joe kept getting elected in Delaware. None of my siblings or cousins nor their spouses and now their children, aunts and uncles, plus many of my old friends ever voted for him nor any Democrat, nor will they now vote for Kamala. They are Trump all the way. It's going to be a hard nasty campaign but thank goodness it will be a short one by modern standards ironically thanks to Joe’s foot-dragging.
