Thank goodness today was better than yesterday!
I finally got my iPhone upgrade problems solved. Now I just have to wait for the new return box to arrive (next week between the 12th and 14th, ironically both days that I found Bill unconscious after his strokes last year on these same dates) for the new return box for my old iPhone. Wow, that was a long sentence.
The sun was out today in all its brilliance with the dazzling white snow covered landscape here at Casa Tipton-Kelly. The temperatures didn't give above freezing so it looks like the snow will be around for at least a couple more days. Reminds me of when we lived in Pennsylvania. We usually got our first heavy snow late November or early December and it would hang around until early March. Dirty, snow covered frozen banks in supermarket parking lots. I hated that. In fact I hate snow, living in it. Nice to look at on TV or in the movies but I can do without it in really life, thank you.
COVID infections are raging here in southern Delaware where I live. As far as I know neither I nor Bill has COVID but we could. I have all the symptoms. How do I know? I asked Bill's hospice nurse who does have COVID what her symptoms were. By the way, she couldn't make her weekly house visit yesterday, we did the visit via TeleHealth on FaceTime on her personal phone. I asked her what her symptoms were and she told me it "was like a mild cold. Achy body, coughing, slight temperature, runny nose. I have all those "symptoms". In fact I have them pretty much all the time. But I'm not going to get another COVID test. There is a pop-op testing sight near hear but I saw in the local newspaper where folks were waiting in line for an hour or more in the cold to get their test. Then if I did get a test and it came out positive what would I do? Isolate myself? I'm already living in an isolated state. I did make a change though, the one time I go out is to the local supermarket. I'm back to wearing my mask. This time it's a real mask, N-95, not one of those face art masks. Actually it's easier to breath in an N-95 mask. Tight fit. I can see where it would be hard for the COVID virus to get in my facial orifices.
So here I am on a quiet Saturday night, sitting at my computer typing this blog entry (all my blog entries are this fresh), about to wrap up this daily posting and make myself some dinner. "Taco bake a la Ron" tonight!

You posted a few posts in the last few days and I had to catch up.
Glad that Bill is doing well as expected. He looks healthy and robust. And I bet cleaner than he has ever been-inside story.
I still have an iPhone 7 and it works just fine. I don't do a lot with my phone. I take pictures for myself, text, answer a quick e-mail, post on Instagram-for me, take maybe 1 or two calls a week. Simple stuff. I have been eyeing the 13. Not a priority but when you deal with a staff that are 20 plus years younger than you, one has to step up. I remember when I bought my 7 a few years ago, the guy at AT&T looked at my phone-the battery just would not hold a charge-and said this my phone was an old one and they had several new models since. I told him I am sure but if it is not broken why fix it.
I love snow. As you may remember, I live in Denver. The snow pattern is similar to DC. It snows a few inches here and there and it is gone in a day or two. And yes, we get a big one every once in a while. Yes, I lived in DC and the snow is a big thing. Even a few inches coming folks will run to the stores and stock up like they are going to be snowed in for weeks. It's funny to see. I never fell into that trap. I always had things on hand and if I needed something bad enough the store was just an easy walk. I have seen the Federal government closed down with 1-3 inches coming. The DC government follows the Federal and it cascades down from there. The reason for the closures is that DC proper has a lot of folks that commute in from VA, Maryland, and some far away as PA. We can't have those folks stuck on the roads. Now that recent shutdown of 95 in VA is baffling. That should not have happened. I can see things a little slow BUT still moving. The area has had experience with snow events. Something went off the rails there. The snow is peaceful to me. I like the way it covers things. It has a freshness to it. Now I can drive in it. I just take my time and be defensive in my driving because you will always have crazies out there.
I love your list of things you will not do. I agree with a lot on your list. I have no desire to go to any concert of Justin's. Just the noise alone would wreck me. I love adventure. I have no desire to go on a cruize. Just a giant petri dish. Now, I may reconsider if it is a short cruize-British Columbia/Alaska-and we have different stops where we can get off.
I am about 11 on the survey of things you have not done. Not a nun by any means.

I don't get many comments (I've often wondered why) but the comments I do received, almost all of them are thoughtful, friendly, informative and interesting like you comment on this posting. Thank you for sending it.
Now for some of my responses to the points you made. I do like the snow but I am afraid of it because of the danger. I cannot afford to injure myself by falling in it. However, like you I like the freshness and cleanliness of the snow and the quiet comfort it brings. I am so glad I don't have to go to work in this snow. In years past I've had some dangerous situations getting to and from work (the hotel) in sudden snowstorms and then of course was that time about five years ago (how fast time passes) when I did fall and tear my left leg quadricep muscle which took me months to recover.
Now for my iPhone, my iPhone is one of the few luxuries I allow myself. I take a lot of pictures and videos, A LOT. I love the way I can bring up my thousands (over one hundred thousand now) of pictures and videos from my iPhone to share when I'm having a conversation either in person or on my computer via FaceTime or Zoom. This has opened a whole new world to me. Gives me comfort and satisfaction. Then there are all the other things I can do with my iPhone like retrieving information at the touch of my finger. Simple said, my iPhone makes my life a LOT easier. I'll take that anytime.
You've noticed that I'm posting more often now. The last few years I got lazy and fell behind in my postings. I'm attempting to overcome that habit I slipped into. My goal is to post daily, even though some days my posts probably won't be that interesting. I know I have regular followers and I like to keep them updated on my daily goings on plus posting is my therapy. Which reminds me, time to compost today's post.

Congratulations on getting through again. Maybe that's why I don't receive many comments on my blog posts. Blogger mysteries. Google (Blogger's owner) doesn't have a HELP line so I don't know how to correct whatever problems readers of my blog have who want to comment. I know when I have to comment on Word Press blogs I have to jump through several hoops, and not always the same hoops. I find some blogs easy to leave a comment but others like Word Press are difficult. Yours is easy but Sassy Bear's is difficult. Who knows the workings of these forums? Anyway, I'm glad you got through. Always good to hear from you and read your comments, brief as they may be (smile)
