I've been dragged kicking and screaming into this new Blogger format. Well, maybe it's time. I've been blogging with Blogger (Google) since 2005. Over that period of time I have spilled out my guts, said inappropriate things, pissed off people, ranted about everything from politics, friends, family and work and now I'm ranting about being forced in this new format.
Well, maybe it's not so bad. It is a lot cleaner. Like a house you've lived in a long time, over time you accumulate things. My blog format had accumulated a LOT of things, including all those older pictures of me when I was young and vibrant, not the old man I am now. Perhaps it was time to clean up my blog.
I've often admired my blogger friends who had Word Press blogs. They looked so clean. I have a blog on Word Press but I never took the time to learn the in's and out's of it. A bit complicated to say the least. I'm used to Blogger. And I prefer to stay with Blogger because that's where I'm comfortable. However, how long I'll be comfortable with this new format I'll let you know. I feel constricted already. As long as I can post my pictures and videos I suppose I should be happy. Maybe in time I'll learn how to navigate my way around this new format.
Upgrades, the ban of my existence in this technical world of ours.

Took me a little time to go along with it, but now I'm there I guess it's okay.
Dear Ron, Lately I've got emails from Youtube regarding advertisements. I've used their free service over a decade and must conclude there is a time-limit on free speech. Unless I'm mistaken, I'll be using still photos on my blogs in the future. This is a confusing time, isn't it?
I don't care what you do as long as you check-in and let us know how you and Bill are doing and any rants that you want to share.
I'll go first. I have been working temporarily as a Case investigator/Contact Tracer and attend regular morning meetings-15 minutes in length-and other regular longer meetings once a week. I am 63 and these young people are killing me. The questions they ask in the chat and or when they show up on the video screen amazes me. I am ready to throw my laptop out the window. My bitch? These young folks have NO CRITICAL THINKING skills. They want everything handed to them on a platter without thinking. They can't read a policy, processes, previous direction, and critically apply it to their concern. In my undergrad and master's I was actually taught this. And honey, that was years ago. Gather the information/resources that you know for sure and MAKE A DECISION/answer your own question. I have to patient because I know that no question is a stupid question but there are.
I will miss your old pictures but as VRC says, as long as we get to hear from you. As for rants, let 'em rip.
come on over to Wordpress. It's OK.
Ur-Spo,
I think I'm going to take your suggestion on coming over to Word Press. Blogger gets more difficult to manage with every update. Obviously their updates are done by committee.
Ron
Raybeard,
I'm still trying to figure out how to do a new post. what is it with these "updates" that make things more difficult?
Ron
Ivy Green,
I like posting my old pictures, made my blog feel like my home. Alas, it is not to be with their latest "update."
Ron
VRC-Do You!
I wouldn't have the patience that you do dealing with those young people. I guess I'm officially an Old Fogey now.
Good luck with your job!
Ron
Geor.,
This morning I'm trying to figure out how I can do a new post under the new Blogger format. It definitely isn't user friendly. Updates by committee, always a tell.
Ron
