Colonoscopy Today!
Today is the day folks!
I got up at 3:15 am this morning to take my second bottle of colonoscopy preparation liquid. That to be followed with three eight ounces of water within the next hour. I've done that and let me tell you it was no picnic. It annoys me when I hear others tell me "It's no big deal." Well folks, I'm here to tell you to me IT.IS.A.BIG.DEAL.
I can hardly get through it. Gagging and nauseous. Bloated. Feeling like I'm going to pass out. Hey, more power to those of you "It's no big deal" folks. You're lucky!
I was talking to a guest at the hotel Thursday night. She said she had the same problem with the prep liquid. She only weighed about one hundred pounds. She brought up a good point, she said she was taking as much liquid as a two hundred and twenty pound man. She also got sick from ingesting all that liquid.
Well, today at 8:15 am I undergo the tube up my behind to check to see if any of those pre cancerous polyps have returned. The one good thing about today, this is probably my last colonoscopy in my lifetime. Yes folks, I have arrived at that point in my life where there are a lot of "last times."
Now when I get back later today I'll attack that double billing I got for my last EBay purchase. They charged my Pay Pal account and my Discover card account. What's that all about? Always something.

Oh JEEEEEEZ! That was painful to watch, but nothing like as painful as it was for you. Please, PLEASE let your next posting be that you've been given the all-clear. Fervently hoping that that's what it'll turn out to be. Wishing you the best of everything.

Ron-- In March I had my colonoscopy, the first in 11 years. My doctor was OK with the swipe method, but the test came back positive; and so it was colonoscopy. I'm glad I did because it discovered a couple of potential problems (nothing big at the moment) that can dealt with down the road. I wish you well and wellness.

I got through the colonoscopy alright. I'll write about it in my next blog post. God, I hope this is the last time I have to take that preparation solution. And to think it cost me $110.

I'm home. I made it through the procedure yesterday. The doctor said he found "three small polyps" which he is sending out for a biopsy. I am to call next week for the results. I hope this is the absolute last time I have to do the prep. I hate it, hate it, hate it.

It was good you had a colonoscopy. Thank goodness that procedure is available today to detect colon cancer. Even if the prep is awful, at least we can catch any potential cancer before it is too late.

I am happy to say all went well. My doctor only discovered three small polyps which he sent out for a biopsy but he was confident all was well. He said once you have polyps they often come back and mine did. I call next week to get the results of the biopsy. Thank you for your good wishes.
