Trump's First 100 Days

Trump's fat ass ascending the presidential helicopter

Today marks the 100th day of the Trump presidency. So how successful was Trump in fulfilling all his promises?  Well, to use one of Trumps limited use of superlatives, his first 100 days was an "amazing failure."

Other than filling the Supreme Court Justice seat that the Republicans stole from Obama and the Democrats, Trump was not fulfilled ANY of his oft proclaimed promises at his many self aggrandizement rallies.  And oh yes, another rally will be held tonight in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Trump needs these reboots to his ego the way a drug addict needs a needle in his vein.

I could list all the promises that Trump has made to his base (and the country) but I won't in this post. Most of you know the promises.  Trump will build a wall, and Mexico will pay for it. Trump will repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.  Yes, I could list all the promises that he has failed to keep ad nauseam. However, one thing that Trump has succeeded in doing is disabusing the office of the presidency by this lies and boorish behavior. Check out the photo below where he leaves his wife Melania behind as he bounds the steps to the White House to meet the Obamas. Have we ever seen anyone who is more clueless?  For the first time in my life I am embarrassed to be an American.  I feel sorry for Melania. Talk about selling your soul for a gilded aviary.

"Mr. Manners" Trump leaves Melania behind as he meets the Obamas

So here we go for the next 1,360 days of the Trump presidency.  God help us.

This man who is the head of our country and the leader of the free world is a pathological liar. We are the laughing stock of the world. Thank you Trump supporters for inflicting this disaster on our country.

As usual, you are so misinformed. Trump has passed 27 new laws, some of which are eating away Obamacare from the back.
Go get a friggin life, you moron.
Here's to the next 1360 days.
Even if Trump only did the one thing you stated: the supreme court nominee, that appointment sets the pace for American conservatism till another judge drops dead.

    1. Hey MORON, as usual you are wrong, Trump DIDN'T PASS ANY LAWS. Only Congress can pass laws. You're probably referring to the executive orders he signed, the photo ops. The same executive orders he complained about Obama signed. Look in the mirror, and you will see the MORON. So stupid. You're the perfect Trump supporters.

    3. Thanks Mags. I usually don't respond to Internet blog trolls but this one I just had to say something because she was so off base. If she was trying to bait me, she was successful. But what a moron to think that Trump passed laws. All Trump is doing is signing photo op executive orders and showing off his signature. He is an embarrassment for us and our country.

  2. One thing I am truly thankful for, Ron, is that 100 days later we (or most of us) are still alive. Now if that can be kept up for the remainder of these four years that will be a MAJOR accomplishment. Can only hope.

    1. Ray,
I predict that Trump will eventually resign before he is impeached. Plus, he is bored already. But the BIG problem is that who will replace him? Pence? Ryan? Terrible alternatives.

    1. Thank you Jimmy. I am reluctant to go on these political rants and would rather post about my personal day to day life but sometimes I just cannot hold my rage back.

  4. what astounds me the most if thems who voted/still follow him are so blinded to reality.
Trump said it best when he summarized himself as able to shoot someone and no one would care.

    1. Dr. Spo,
That is what amazes and depresses me, the unwavering support that Trump has from his supporters who are all too willing to look past his atrocious behavior, especially those evangelicals. Christian hypocrisy, always in fashion.

  5. Strange times we're living in, to be sure. All I feel I can do is support the institutions that support us, support women, support freedom of the press & support examining and fighting bigotry in our time. Oh, and haranguing our elected officials on occasion with the odd phone call...

    1. Bea,
These sure are the strangest times I've ever lived in Bea. I just hope I live long enough to see sanity return to our government.

Isn't trump just a massive disgrace to mankind? I get nauseated every time I see his orange face! Talk about a jackass. I'm praying that the FBI Russiagate investigation turns out proof of his canoodling with Putin. Time will tell.............

    1. Anonymous,
Trump is a disgrace to the United States and the world. I am sicken by him and his more rabid supporters who are all too willing to look the other way when they know very well what Trump is doing and represents is not what America is about, inclusivity. I predict Trump will resign before he is impeached. The only questions now is who will become president? Pence? Ryan? Run another election?

  7. Excellent post, Ron, I admire your restraint. You're a true rationalist --rare these days-- and I wish we still had one in the White House.

    1. Geo.,
If there is any good thing to say about Trump being president is that this will be a real test of our democracy and I am very confident democracy will prevail, despite Trump doing everything he can to be an authoritarian dictator like Putin. However, we are in for some very painful and humiliating times as long as Trump is in office. I wonder how long responsible Republicans will continue to look the other way what they know is wrong all just to pass more tax cuts for their rich benefactors.

  8. I feel sorry for Melania. If he is this rude in public, imagine how he treats her at home.
