The Face of Greed

Folks, this is the face of pure greed. A person who has no moral character.

I place this person in with terrorists.  Pure evil.  I need to say nothing else. What really sends a chill down my spine is that this person doesn't even see how evil he is.

Martin Shkreli, CEO Turing Pharmaceuticals bought this company and decided immediately to raise the price of the company's 62-year old medication used by Aids patients by over 5,000%.

The drug, Daraprim, increased from $13.50 to $750.00.

The pill costs about $1 to produce, but Mr. Shkreli, a former hedge fund manager (now there's a recommendation) said that does not include other costs like marketing and distribution.

Sure, you greedy monster.  Didn't you make enough money with your hedge funds?

Oh, and another thing, he's an Albanian? Welcome to America you f -cking greed monster.

  1. Something about the love of money and evil seems to ring here. I hope he sells 1 pill next year. Just 1.

  2. I'm hesitant to say this, because many of my goody-two-shoes, self-righteous friends think I'm a bigot and a racist - - but I'll voice my opinion anyway.
These greedy, shrewd foreign bastards are continuously coming here and taking merciless advantage of America's gullibility. And the biggest travesty is that our wimpy-assed government allows them to do it. Our country is owned and ruled by foreigners. We should ban these outsiders from having access to our country, but this will never happen. And it's far too late. The once "good ol' U.S.of A." is only a pale shadow of the great country it USED to be.

Do I feel better after this rant? Hell, no. I'm too damn angry.
We need more people to wake up and speak out against what is happening.

I hope this makes some sense. One of my cats keeps jumping on my computer keyboard and messing things up. He should be deported, with those foreigners.

    1. Jon,
You're not a bigot nor a racist. I know you and how you feel. I often feel the same way myself. I was hesitant to say he was from Albania but when I heard he was from another country I thought "I knew it!" Too often some foreigners enter this country, knowing that they can get away with with their immoral practices because of Americans basic goodness that too often doesn't exist in their corrupt ridden countries. And what really gets me about this scumbag is that he's probably made millions as a hedge fund manager (which produces NOTHING) and now wants MORE. And he has absolutely no sense of shame, none which shows that he has no moral character. He's all about greed. Totally selfish and remorseless.

  3. He is beyond greed. Making billions from people who really need this medicine. Worst thing I heard him say was he needed to raise the cost to keep his company going. Hope there is another medicine or company who can help people and this scum bag goes under. Cheryl

    1. Cheryl,
You're right, he is beyond greed. Hopefully another pharma company will start producing these pills but I fear they will also charge a high price. Believe me, this guy isn't the only greedy scum bag in the business world.

  4. This was headlines news yesterday here too. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. I gather he's now trying to row back - a little. But even that little comes a bit late as we've all seen his true colours. Qualifies for that currently overused word 'LOSER'.

    1. Ray,
Actually, by his unbridled greed, he's done more to move reform for runaway pharma costs. He will be forever known as the poster boy for greed. He even looks like a lizard, and that's doing a disservice to lizards because at least don't cheat and steal from the helpless.

  6. Guess what folks? THIS THING HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. companies interested in profit buy up old Rx and crank up the prices because they can.
Only in america does this happen as our health care is run by capitalism. This is the result of 'fleeing from socialized medicine'. we want no part of it but then something like this happens and we are shocked shocked shocked. i despair we will ever learn.

    1. You are so right. This is the result of unregulated (free market and "freeing from socialized medicine"). I suspect this poster boy for unbridled greed will do much to give a push for some kind of controls over drug price increases. What really makes me sad about this greed monster, is that he is totally unrepentant. He sees nothing at all wrong with what he has done.
