Cecil the Lion - Killed by American Dentist

Did you hear about the asshole American dentist (who obviously makes way too much money) who killed the famed Cecil the lion?

You know folks, I'm not a religious person but at times like this I wish there was a Hell so there would be a seat reserved for this dentist, Walter Palmer.

Big Brave Man who shoots a pet

Mr. Macho Big Game Hunter paid over $50,000 to shoot this lion with a bow and arrow then stalk the wounded lion for forty hours before killing him with his gun.  Then he cut the lion's head off and skin him.  Hey, now he can mount Cecil's head in his machismo big game den, which he obviously has and brag to his fellow macho buds about what a masterful man he is.

You know folks, I never got the hunting thing.  Oh sure, I know all about hunting for food and I guess that's all right (my father was a dedicated hunter).  But I never go that hunting gene, neither did either of my brothers and they're both straight.  But to hunt for so called "sport."

Smiling pretty with perfect teeth, Walter Palmer, Minneapolis's Top Dentist poses with his "takes". Proud of yourself Mr. Palmer, Big Game Gaping Asshole?

I won't say too much more about this, let the videos I've uploaded to You Tube speak for me.  But I'll tell you folks, it is at time like this that I am ashamed to be a member of a species that sees nothing wrong with killing "for sport" a magnificent animal like Cecil the Lion. When I hear of atrocious acts like this it makes my head go crazy.  My only relief is that there are other people like me who think that activity like this is so wrong.

Having said what I said, I do hope there is a special place reserved in Hell for Walter Palmer, Minneapolis's Top Dentist.

  1. Don't get me started on the subject of hunting for sport. It should not only be illegal, the bastards who participate in it should be hunted down and shot. They'd be screaming sissies if they weren't armed with their guns and bows & arrows.

I've never been able to comprehend the twisted mindset of anyone who has to stalk and slaughter an innocent animal to prove that he's a Macho Man (these are the same guys who probably go home and secretly jack off to pictures of boy scouts).

Sorry for sounding so crude, but I am PISSED.

That grinning jackass of a dentist should be prosecuted for killing the lion. I'd like to have a round with him for five minutes (maybe ten) and he'd need to find another dentist who could restore his teeth.

Sorry for the rant, Ron, but you struck a chord and I'm in a hostile mood.

    Do I feel better now?

    Hell, no!

    1. Jon,
Again, we agree 100%!!!!! I too have never understood this "hunting for sport." Hunting for food or sustenance is one thing, I can accept that (but of course could never do it myself, I just don't have the gene for killing).

Like you I am so PISSED! This grinning, self-satisfied, smug bastard who "took" Cecil the lion (I hate that term "took", he KILLED Cecil the lion) needs to face justice for his selfish, greedy and cruel actions. Maybe some good will come of the outcry against him and the world will take another look at big game hunters who kill for sport.
By the way, notice now how Mr. Big and Brave Big Game Hunter is in hiding. Maybe he put on his camouflage face paint and is hiding in the Minnesota woods. I suspect that most of these big game hunters are compensating for a lack in themselves by killing these beautiful animals who are just trying to live their lives. Don't they know we now have products on the market to address their erection problems?

  2. HOLY CRAP!! That last video featured Boyd Matson!!!! When I was in my early 20's Boyd was a small-time reporter on the local NBC station in Los Angeles and he was a HUNK. I had a very serious crush on him.

That was LONG ago - I can hardly believe how old Boyd looks now (then again, I can hardly believe how old I look, too.....)

    1. Bob,
He does and I hope his life is forever ruined. He has only himself to blame for his selfish and cruel actions. He needs to be held responsible for his actions.

Like you I never got hunting. Never thought that shooting off a gun was tantalizing. Missing that gene. Wonder what his patients will do.

    1. Pat,
I too am missing that gene of killing "for sport." I just never go that part of life, to kill just for "sport." What will his patients do? Get a new dentist like I got a new dentist. What his patients do and his employees do I could not care less. I care about greedy, selfish, cruel excuse for a human being, Dr. Walter James Palmer. I just hope he has to face justice for his selfish, senseless and cruel act of killing Cecil the lion.

  5. Yeah, it's blanketed the social media I follow. And all the news sites I frequent. I think we know. But I agree with you.

I never got the "killing for sport" thing. Hunting for meat and sustenance is one thing, hunting for "sport", especially big game hunting totally baffles my mind. Don't these big game hunters know we have products on the market now that can address their erection problems?

    1. Dr. Spo,
Nothing saddens and angers me more than senseless, cruel and selfish acts like this dentist perpetuated. And he still has no shame. What a poor excuse for human being.

    2. I like the belief the only time I will judge/criticize and condemn is when someone does something either a) Cruel or b) uncaring.

    3. Same here. This man's "recreational activity" is inexcusable. He destroys and pumps up his own ego. Of course he is in hiding now as one would expect of a coward.

  7. This whole sorry saga makes me feel ill, Ron. It's been and still is a major news item here and I've got to look away from the screen to avoid seeing the pitiful corpses of poor beasts, once so majestic, brought down in totally unfair competition by sickeningly beaming killers, all for purely 'entertainment' purposes. (For that reason I hope you'll forgive me for having hurriedly scrolled down this post of yours). As you know, I go further than some in deploring the killing of animals even for food purposes when there are alternatives available, but that's another story (and I can only guess how Pat feels about this matter). But if this incident serves to raise public awareness of the particular disgrace of hunting just for 'sport' then at least some good may have come out of beautiful Cecil's slow and unforgivably agonising demise.
Btw: To add a further dimension, I just wonder if this dentist happens to be a Christian. It wouldn't surprise me as I can just imagine him quoting Genesis in saying that 'God' gave man dominion over animals, in order to justify his own obscene actions. One more reason to disbelieve in the existence of such a supposedly 'loving' Deity.
I hope this dentist's unlooked-for notoriety causes his practice to collapse. Maybe he can have his own gleaming set of teeth extracted and put in a pickle jar in his window just for, you know, 'fun'.

    1. Ray,
Great comment! I agree with everything you say especially the "Good Christians" who say "God" fave man dominion over animals. Oh no, we co-exist with animals and give them equal respect that we expect.
Like you I feel that maybe some good will come of this atrocious act and that the world will take a new look at big game hunting "for sport" and just how cruel and ridiculous and stupid it is. There is no "sport" involved, only satisfying someone's ego. I've always felt that big game hunters were lacking something somewhere else in their life and big game hunt to compensate and reassure themselves that they are "men." In actuality most of them are probably cowards just like this dentist is proving to be by staying in hiding.

  8. Thank you for this post. The perpetrator deserves every bad thing that's happening to him now. Including the death threats (and that's coming from someone who's against capital punishment).
