Life Is Too Short

Hey gang, I made this wonderful iMovie today in Casa Tipton-Kelly while buffeted outside by the winds and rains of Hurricane Sandy.  I was scheduled to go into work today, but since Lewes is basically a lake today compliments of Hurricane Sandy, I stayed home all day.  I had plenty of time to troll through some of my old photos (many of which some of you may have seen already) and compile this video of my life.

Since I am about to celebrate 71st birthday, I thought it was about time I made a Memorial Video of The Life and Times of Ronald Walter Tipton.  I will also make several DVD copies of this video to be played at my funeral.  I know no one else would do it.  Now all I have to do is order that headstone and I'm READY.  No one can say I wasn't prepared.

Enjoy the video.  I did!

  1. What a great video - I love it! I would have never thought of making one like that. And you have so many wonderful photos.

I'm glad you survived the storm. And it confirms the fact that good things can come out of bad situations: the storm allowed you the time to make the movie.

    1. Jon,

Glad you liked the video! If you send me your e-mail address I can send you a direct link from YouTube so you can view the video without it being partially blocked as it appears to me on my blog posting.
I had great fun making the video. I have had a wonderful life (as you have had too) with a few "bumps in the road" (as we all have had) but I wanted to make a permanent record of my time here on this earth I've been meaning to do this for a long time. I've finally did it and I'm happy with the way it turned out. I always smile when I watch it because all those times bring back great memories.

  2. You are so clever Ron Walter Tipton! I hope your family realizes the importance of this video. Immediate family may not, however future generations will. My wish is that when I am 70+ I am as cool, as smart and as good looking as you are. Hope Miss Sandy as left you 2 all warm and dry,

PS We don't have much in common, I am a 50+ southern conservative married women of 36 years but I do my "whites" on Mondays as well.....small world

    1. Arleen,

Nice to hear from you! I"ve always wanted to do a "memorial video" myself so they could play it at my funeral because I know no one else could do a good a job as I could!

Miss Sandy exposed several leaks in our house that we are addressing now. I am exhuasted from 24 hours of constant battering of wind and rain against the house though It is so nice this morning to just have the "regular' wind.

      Have a great day!

  3. And just in time for Hallowe'en!
I wish you could make a video like this for me; perhaps this is a new line of work for you?

    1. Dr. Spo,

I would be GLAD to make a video like this for you. Send me some pictures either by e-mail or post them to Facebook. You were so generous to make a wonderful Spo Shirt for me, the least I could do is make a fun video for you. Just let me know what order you want the pictures and what musical you want with it. I love making these movie on iMovie. Once I make it I can upload it to You Tube of copy it to a DVD for you and send it to you by snail mail. I know you have a lot of great photos just waiting for a fun movie.
