Lee Welcomes Home Navy Boyfriend Trent

After my God Awful posting of this morning of Facebook and Mark Zuckerburg, I had to find something inspiring to post to my blog.  I found it.

I never thought I would live to see this but we are evolving as a society aren't we?  This simple welcome home of a young man and his Navy boyfriend brought tears to my old eyes.  Who knows, maybe in my lifetime gays and lesbians will no longer be second class citizens and can express their love as openly as anyone else in our society.  Just maybe.

    1. Max,

This was a feel good video. It did my heart good to see two men openly express their love for one another just like any straight couple. It's about time.

  2. It is a step in the right direction. I sense this will be a oh slow process, with many resistances and set backs. I hope we are intrepid and patient enough to do the journey and not give up hope (as I often do).

    1. Dr. Spo,

I think we're at the point now where we're taking one of two giant steps forward and a baby step backwards. Overall, we're going forward but still so much to do. I so enjoyed seeing the love these guys had for each other and that they were able to express it freely. There will be a time when our society will consider two men kissing in public no more different than a man and a women kissing.

    1. Mark,
I love it too! Could you sense how much these guys love each other? I got all emotional watching it. I know you did too.

  5. I liked how, when they were embracing, they looked like every other couple on the dock.

    1. Bob,

I liked it too how they looked like every other couple on the dock and were treated as such. Maybe we are making progress after all.
