New Blogger Interface

All right folks, I've tried the new Blogger interface and it sucks!

I have a few questions:

WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO FIX?

IF IT'S NOT BROKEN WHY THE "UPGRADE?"

WHY IS THE "UPGRADE" BEING FORCED ON US?

WHY?

Is Word Press breathing down their neck?  I've tried Word Press and I find it very hard to use.  My head hurts after navigate around Word Press's web site.

Could it be that Blogger is "upgrading" to justify the employment of Apple rejects?

Hey Blooger, the "upgrade" isn't EASY TO USE.

PLEASE, leave us old stuck in the mud folks an option to use the EASY BLOGGER INTERFACE.

Why force this "upgrade" down our throats?

WHY?

  1. Ron just select Old Interface from options and stick with that.

    1. Max,

I chose the old interface but Blogger sent me a message that the old interface will end in a month so we won't have a choice. We will be forced to use the new interface whether we like it or not. I don't get it. The new interface is very confusing and not user friendly at all. I can't figure out why the change? Something is going on they're not explaining.

Yes, the new interface is very confusing. Not user friendly at all! I changed back to the old format but I got a message today that the old interface will end in a month. In other words, Blogger is forcing the new interface down our throats.

    1. Bob,

I tried using the new interface but it was a chore. I switched back to the old interface but I guess I won't have a choice in a month when Blogger forces everyone to use the new interface.

  4. It's a pain in the butt!
I switched back to the old one and am praying that it stays. Do you think my prayers will be heard?

    1. Mark,

I also switched back to the old format but I see there is a notice that the old format will be discontinued in a month. Why? What are they trying to fix? This one has me puzzled. As I said in another comment, I think money has to be at the root of all these changes. It usually is. They certainly don't make the changes to make life easier for us.

  5. They did it with Playlist. They've done it with Facebook. Now this - I'm just glad I never built any blogs with the goal of posting on a regular basis.

They fouled up my account last month - I had to start all over and was told I didn't have any blogs when I have plenty of them. I finally got it cleared up, but I'm done with blogging and anything I might want to talk about I'll just put on Facebook if they'll just leave that alone now.

    1. sixtyfivealive,
I remember when they changed Playlist. That was a bomb. I think they changed it back but I don't use Playlist anymore. Too much trouble. I used to use Facebook a lot but not now because I can't keep up with all the changes. I only keep Facebook to stay in contact with my distant relatives to inform them about our annual family reunion. I hope by the time I use FB again this fall, they haven't changed it so much that I will be unable to inform my relative about our family reunion. I don't get it, why all the changes so fast? Money has to be at the root. I hate to say it but if they keep changing Blogger I'll have to leave it. Up until now it's been fun to use. When it gets to be work and gives me a headache, that's when I quit using it.

  6. I changed to the "new" Blogger upgrade about a month ago and it took me weeks to get used to it. I don't see anything new at all. The only thing they did was to hopelessly complicate all the old stuff .
Ever since I got the upgrade I've been having trouble uploading my piano videos. They used to work perfectly before. Now every time I upload a video to Blogger the sound is not synchronized with the picture.
A pox on Blogger! The last thing I need in my life is more complications......

    1. Jon,

I tried using the new interface but it isn't user friendly at all. I see now where Blogger is going to force us to use it. I don't get it. What are they trying to fix? Where is the improvement? I suspect money is at the root of this "change." Either they have a new way to put ads on the blogs or else they're cutting back on the Blogger soft wear itself. Something doesn't make sense here. I'm all for change when there is an improvement but I don't see any improvement here.

    1. Dr. Spo,

I publish a lot of photos on my blog plus I like some of the bells and whistles of Blogger. I find Word Press even more difficult than the new Blogger. I think Word Press is the way to go if all I want is text and one photo. However, that's not my style. I'll probably go to Word Press anyway because Blogger is forcing me to.

I don't know about the "upgraded" internal workings of Blogger, but I sure dislike what they have done to the comments section!

    1. Hank,

I don't see anything good about the "upgraded" Blogger. I'm still waiting for the "improvements."
